Jordy Downloader is a free download manager that allows you to download files from Internet with high speed. The program supports a range of protocols/ methods that includes BitTorrent, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP servers, online data storage, videos & audio streams. The program works fast but if it is 5 to 10 times faster as c claimed by the publisher, could not be established. It is claimed to incorporate a combination of file segmentation with a smart algorithm to work faster. If the downloads are interrupted, there is no need to repeat them. The downloader will continue from wherever it was interrupted. Jordy Downloader is able to detect and allow you to download almost any type of stream (video or audio), even while you are watching it. A blue Download Button will appear in the upper-right corner of the video when a stream is detected.
The integrated media player will let you watch downloaded videos & music or detected streams directly into the Jordy Downloader. Other useful features include zip preview, download categories, scheduler pro, sounds on different events, balloon information, skin support, MMS support, enhanced virus protection on download completion, etc. It is compatible with all the popular browsers such as IE, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, etc. This has a simple interface and is quite intuitive. Most users would be able to get productive very quickly. The controls are also well laid out. The controls are intuitive so that most users will be able to figure out what to do and how to do it.
